Join us for Public Hikes on Public Lands

September 9, 2004

The Ecology Action Centre and the Nova Scotia Public Lands Coalition are presenting their 3rd Annual "Public Hikes on Public Lands" series.

There will be five hikes and one public meeting. The hikes will take place on crown land, blocks that have been proposed for protection. The meeting will take place at the Keeshan Goodman Library.

The focus of these interpretive hikes and the meeting are to foster public education and a greater appreciation for the value of these natural areas.

Hike leaders will highlight the intrinsic values and the benefits of preserving them.

Participants will receive information on public lands in Nova Scotia and on how they may get involved with their protection.
