Guide to Chebucto Public Lands AvailableDecember 12, 2002Copies of the Ecology Action Centre's guide to Crown lands on the Chebucto Peninsula are still available at the Centre. The guide, Public Land on the Chebucto Peninsula: A Citizen's Guide to Protecting Halifax's Backyard Wilderness, was authored by EAC's Chris Brackley. It comes in a small booklet format. EAC published the guide last summer to coincide with its highly successful Public Hikes on Public Lands project - a series of interpretive hikes that Chris led through Protected Areas on the peninsula. The booklet includes a brief overview of public land and protected areas management in Nova Scotia, maps of the peninsula's four Protected Areas, and a helpful directory of organizations working to protect public lands in western Halifax County. Please contact the Ecology Action Centre for more information. A small donation to the Centre to cover copying costs would be appreciated.
