This land is your land.

Gully Lake

Crown land is Public Land. It belongs to us all - and its up to all of us to protect it. Welcome to the official website of the Nova Scotia Public Lands Coalition. We are a group of over 50 groups from across the province dedicated to the conservation and wise stewardship of our common natural Heritage. The NSPLC member groups represent a broad cross section of citizens and interests, including - environmental, tourism, forestry, naturalist, hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation groups.

This site is designed to keep the public informed and engaged in the ongoing effort for more and better wilderness conservation in Nova Scotia. We hope you find it useful and informative. We also urge all citizens to become involved in the effort and to take a stand for nature. Together we can make a difference for our remaining wild places - and for the creatures that depend on them for their survival. Together we can leave a natural legacy for our grandchildren.

"Nova Scotia has very little intact wilderness to choose from, so you have to save the best of what's left quickly before it's gone."
-- Monte Hummel, President World Wildlife Fund Canada
